First Light with the Astrophysics 1600 Mount
23 two minute subs with the Sbig 8300c and Np127IS
I finally had a chance to reprocess this, I love the 8300c camera, bad night lots of clouds and mist and still a cool shot.
Not the best seeing, a little mist in the air, but the Sweet 16 does great on the first night.
My Little Beast!
1600GTO German Equatorial Mount (1600GTO)
with GTOCP3 Control Box
When I bought this I asked what the native PE was and you should do this to when buying a mount, they know because they test every one one them. 2.4 arc seconds is the native PE before PEMpro!
This is great!
well below 1 arc second after PEMpro
out of the box.
M16 In Narrowband
I took this last night in my backyard in Corvallis Oregon 09-08-2013, its just 11, 10 min subs.
NGC 6960 The Veil Nebula
M45 One 10 min shot
Picture of M33 is just 3, 10 Minute Subs with the SBIG 8300C Camera
The Andromeda Galaxy
I took this last year from New Mexico
2 hours lum, 1 hour each R,G,B and one hour HA.
There is something magical about M31, the fact that you can see it through any telescope makes it a wonderful target. When you look at M31 through the telescope you are looking at a Galaxy that will collide with our own Galaxy just 4 billion years from now, M31 is coming at us at 250000 miles an hour, you would think that’s fast but that just shows you just how far 2.5 million light years really is.
The two galaxies will merge into one new super Galaxy, if you want to help name the new Galaxy just email your new galactic title to me and we will get it to the people who can make it happen.
